  1. Day 1 Arrival at Cochin International Airport

    Arrive at Cochin International Airport, assist and transfer to hotel at Fort Kochi. It would take about 45 minutes to +1 hour depending on traffic.

    Cochin is the cosmopolitan center of Kerala. On arrival you will be transported to the colonial and heritage town of Fort Kochi which is more lively and fun than the commercial city.  At your boutique hotel, your tour leader will give you options on the numerous spots and activities to visit during the evening.

    Some of the best spots in Fort Kochi and Mattancherry (the more historical hub) include the Dutch palace, the Jew Synagogue, St Francis’ Church, Dutch Cemetery, Chinese Fishing nets, Santa Cruz Cathedral and so on. The old world charm infused with the numerous spice markets, antique shops and art galleries will amaze you.

  2. Day 2 Thattekad

    Leaving Fort Kochi early we surprise you to a spot north-east, a hamlet called ‘Cherukunnam’. This little village is interspersed with canals in all directions. We bike along one of these canal bund roads amid lush green paddy fields, numerous coconut trees and lonely villages leading you to the Edamalayar forests. The Edamalayar forests and the Thattekad Bird Sanctuary are is truly a paradise for bird lovers. The birds, the air and the calm breeze boost and rejuvenate your body & mind.

    Spread around an area of 25 sq km, this sanctuary has more than 200 varieties of birds including the large falcon, grey jungle fowl, white breasted water hen, hornbill etc. Another attraction we head to is the Bhoothathankettu; a scenic dam site. A myth connected with the origin of this place says that this natural fortification of forests and hills was built by Bhoothams (spirit/ghosts) overnight, hence the name Bhoothathankettu (fort of the spirits). Through this extraordinary experience, you will stay at exquisite resorts/camps basking in the natural and effortless splendour of Kerala.

  3. Day 3-4 Munnar

    Though seemingly gentle, this ride is definitely alive; taking you to Munnar, branded for its pristine tea estates, cool breeze and breath-taking views. It is one of those attractions that contributed to Kerala’s reputation as a certain travel destination among domestic and foreign travellers.

    Munnar, situated at the confluence of three mountain streams – Muthirapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundala, is perched about 1600 m above sea level and used to be the summer resort of the erstwhile British administration in South India. Your stay will be in classic bungalows/estates growing tea, cardamom and other plantation crops. Indulge in a niche experience with the use of local/farm fresh products to supplement your food requirements.

    On your second day at Munnar, either opt to cycle to Top Station or hike to the second highest peak in South India – Meesapulimala which is at 2640 m above sea level.

  4. Day 5-6 Periyar

    This morning, we start off early from Munnar to bike on routes that border the Western Ghats and the Cardamom Hills Reserve. The area criss-crosses through verdant green country-side with view-points of the plains of the neighboring state. The ride reminds us of the drastic changes in the topography with the Western Ghats as a separator and natural border. Arrive at Periyar / Thekkady and take in the rest of the day to experience the small town of Kumily.


    On day 2 we can go for Half day Bamboo Rafting, a dawn to dusk hiking and rafting programme which we can spot the Famous Periyar Lake and covers the richest part of the forest in Periyar Tiger Reserve that starts from the Boat Landing by 8am and ends by 2pm at Boat landing in which the guest is accompanied by an Armed Forest Guard and Guides. This programme is provided with Food and One litre of water. The programme is about 10km of walking and 3-4 hour rafting in the Periyar Lake in which the guest can enjoy a rich part of the forest. Animals like elephant, gaur and sambar deer are sighted keeping close to the edges of the lake.

  5. Day 7 Kuttikanam

    This could easily be your best day cycling in Kerala past tea plantations and hills of Kuttikanam. The route is consisting of a perfect mountain biking country with a great scenic view that consists of small spice growing hamlets dotting the landscape and undulating roads through tea estates and forests. The cool breeze and the views are mesmerizing.

  6. Day 8 Alleppey Backwaters

    A luxury rice-barge moored on the Vembanad Lake awaits our arrival. Festive lunch on boat, music in the background, you’re next in charge steering the boat through vast stretches of blue waters. Coconut palms, temples and villages in the horizon, you have a book out to sketch or write a poem. Amidst a million stars in the night sky, the breeze silently steers you into God’s own waters.

  7. Day 9 Ezhupunna

    Morning at 9am and after breakfast you’re out onto beautiful stretches of acreage. Goodbyes to your backwater retreat and you’re set to learn some Coir (coconut fiber) making from a local outfit, the traditional way! Biking on narrow routes through numerous villages, churches & temples we head to Mararikulam, a fishing village by the beach. After lunch we head out biking to Ezhupunna, your host and friend Mr George from an aristocratic Christian family talks about the family and traditions in and around the country-side. His property is a wooden beauty, one that is un-imaginable for an average Indian to to construct in the 21st century for its exquisite architecture, grandeur and elegance. With rounds to the shrimp farms and Chinese fishing nets, you’re experiencing a rural country as well.

  8. Day 10 Depart from Cochin international Airport

    After a relaxed breakfast walk to the neighbouring villages as well as participate in traditional Syrian Christian cooking classes. Your tour leader and driver will assist you to the airport depending on your flight timings.
