  1. Day 1 Arrival at Alleppey

    You begin the day by meeting your guide at Alleppey who will speak about the responsibilities and safety measures required for Kayaking. You will then go into the remote countryside bordered by the villages and palm trees. The daily lives of the locals, the hardworking farmers, children going to school, the serene ambiance, and the chirping sounds of water birds capture the essence of the Kerala villages. You can also see some wooden canoes transporting people, vegetables, fish, livestock, and home appliances from one place to another. After stopping for lunch at a scenic place, you will be taken to a cozy resort owned by a family.

  2. Day 2 Chambakulam

    On day 2, you will be taken to the island of Kavalam paddling through the canals of Pulinkunnu. Kavalam was the headquarters of well to-do agricultural families. The homes you see here are grand and majestic  and here too you can experience village life where farming, fishing, shell collection, and duck rearing are the most important means of livelihood. If lucky, you will also be able to see the traditional toddy tappers on coconut palms. After having lunch at a coconut grove, you will kayak and reach an elegant home where a traditional dinner awaits you. Later in the evening, you can walk and enjoy the simplicity and tranquility of a village life.

  3. Day 3 Nedumudy

    You will continue exploring the backwaters after breakfast. There will be a visit to a Chai Kada (local tea shop) or a spice garden today. After having lunch on the banks of the Vattakayal Lake, you will paddle through the canals and reach back to the heritage home.

    You will be transferred to Cochin or your next destination.
